... I'm sure you're aware of them.
Denyce Seow Jan 5, 2006:
Try not to translate literally. Chinese used in China is different from that in Singapore, so you have to be flexible with the terms. For instance, Singaporeans are not familiar with the use of , or , but as a translator I'm sure you're a

I have no intention of rejecting the answer but accidentally rejected it due to unfamiliarity with the system as i'm new here. Just wanted to add the note that if ̎ = educator, and "l̎" also = "health educator", what is the purpose of adding l?
Denyce Seow Jan 4, 2006:

在中文中“卫”在此代表“卫生”,在中学里我们有“卫生课”,再如“卫生部”(MINISRTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH),再如台湾有“糖尿病卫生教育学会”。
A "Diabetes Educator" certainly is a health worker. Since it is a used expression, I think you certainly can use "Diabetes Educator". In my opinion,as a translator one needn't pursue wort-to-word express.

Comment: "Agreed that 糖尿病衛教人員(師) is certified diabetes educator. However, exactly what does 衛教人員(師) mean? Educator?"
