This is part of a Jet engine for a fighter aircraft. I know that it is not 'anti-cough protection' but don't know what to call it

It might be "anti-turbulence protection".

If it's 防湍保护, it should be “anti-turbulence protection”.

Correction to typo: If it\'s definitely 防喘保护 and related with engine, it should be “防喘振保护”- anti-surge or surge-proof.
