A portion of the sabbatical allowance to which the member is entitled may be paid as a research grant in accordance with University policy for awarding research grants (i.e. funds sufficient to cover his/her approved research and travel expenses). Members should retain receipts for such expenditures as they will be necessary when filing their Income Tax Return.
