Comment: "Really good translation. Would you kindly send me a message on how to grade? I have just graded another translation but somehow I graded someone else who had just "added a note" and not the translator itself. Is there a way to correct it? Is there a way to know how many question are left ungraded? Tks a lot."

another option
1 hr
a house on the mountain
Seems to me the simplest way of saying it.
I would not use "set", and definetely not "stuck".

2 hrs
a house sheltered by the mountain
Another possibility
7 hrs
carved a space out of the mountain to build his house
Here's the issue: if you say ''carved out of the mountain", it means the house is made of the stone (granite) of the mountain...
he carved a space out of the mountain to build his house OR
the house juts out from the mountainside
probably a combination of both..
usually, rock is removed and then the house is built..with extra supporting beams or not..sometimes they can remove enough rock so the house can fit into that space..sometimes it hangs over the space and they add beams
How do I know? Because I know two people in Rio with houses like this!

I don\'t believe the house is carved out of the mountain..that works in Portuguese but not in English...:)
