"...provided as far as possible that these joints do not adversely affect the curing..." should cover you.
Looks like a translation I had recently, where the thickness of a joint would affect the speed of curing of a two-part epoxy resin...

: Should it perhaps be *un*vermeidbar in the original? Then we'd have "no adverse impact or no unavoidable adverse impact" of the compounds on the process.
