Latin term

atresia vaginalis

Non-PRO Homework / test Latin to Danish Art/Literary Linguistics
I don't know from which language the expression comes.
The expression is from a Danish short-story written in an old-fashioned style and taking place in the past. A man (referred to as \"the wise man\") uses it as a desciption of a woman who is leaving him and he says that she isn\'t good enough for any man. The text describes her as unable to get pregnant.
I\'ll prefer an answer in danish but I don\'t count on it. Both English and German will be ok.

atresia vaginalis

means that the persn does not have a perforated orifice to the vagina. Some people are born without orifices either for the vagina or the anus. It is then called atresia ani vaginalis.I found this on the net and a French medical dictionary. What the author is saying is that this lady's vagina is blocked to say it bluntly.

a congenital disorder

you can use it as "it is" as it's a latin expression and used in medical literature.
