Japanese term

人間性豊かな

Japanese to English Medical Medical (general)
In a sentence "(本大学病院は)命の尊さと心身の痛みがわかる人間性豊かな医療人を育成する。" in the "Objectives" section of a pamphlet for a school of medicine.
I know what 人間性 means as a native speaker of Japanese, but I want to know what the English equivalent is. I came up with "deeply humane", "humanistic", "(someone) with rich humanity" but I'm not sure how they sound. "Compassionate" seems close but somewhat different. Please help!
