German term

Stabverleibung

German to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances
It is about the wood used in furniture, could it be "adhesively bonded wooden slats" or something completely different???

(often used for kitchen worktops, which often come in beechwood - here, the term "blocked beech" is very common, see e.g. http://www.rootskitchens.co.uk/index.cfm/section/36)

In any case, "glued bars" or somesuch strikes me as odd.
