Simon Sobrero (asker) Jun 25, 2022:
thank you all for your patience while I slowly relearn that criticism and judgement are not the best tools of persuasion. Apologies to those concerned.
Let's make kudoz a place where experts help humanity communicate more effectively and peacefully :o)

Simon System on Chip?
Not trolling, just trying to help
philgoddard Jun 22, 2022:
Too much context is better than not enough. It doesn't hurt to humour us by answering our questions, like are you sure tc stands for tracked changes.
Simon Sobrero (asker) Jun 22, 2022:
beware duplication "Standard of Care" already appears here: https://www.proz.com/personal-glossaries/entry/2617003-stand...
Sarah Bessioud Jun 22, 2022:
Statement of compliance? Not sure whether the tracked changes is correct (is that your guess?), but if this is a list of docs, perhaps statement of compliance and terms & conditions could be a possibility?
Simon Sobrero (asker) Jun 22, 2022:
beware blind alleys Too much context can be misleading though. If something doesn't simply jump out, or else lend itself to thorough research, it's probably a dead end.
philgoddard Jun 22, 2022:
Thank you Knowing what IMPD stands for is context. And knowing that it's possibly pharmaceutical rather than IT is also context.
Are you sure about tc?
And what does it say before and after this?

Simon Sobrero (asker) Jun 22, 2022:
IMPD Investigational Medicinal Product Dossier (IMPD)...
It's from a list of correspondence items e.g. file attachments.
I am 99.9% sure "tc" is tracked changes, because I see "clean and tc" every day. Thanks.
philgoddard Jun 22, 2022:
Simon In your last two questions, you gave good context in the form of screenshots. This time, nothing. What happened? :-)

I Googled "IMPDv48", but it gets no hits.

summary of changes

Thanks to the additional context you provided, targeted research offered this possibility.

If the review committee has already assessed an earlier version of the IMPD in the context of another clinical trial, please state this in the cover letter and submit a summary of changes and a track changes version of the IMPD.

Versions to provide by document function
For informed consent documents, provide only a ‘tracked-changes’ version. IRB staff will ‘Accept All Changes,’ and manage the ‘clean’ stack. See also section IV below.
For protocol documents and test article investigator’s brochure (IB), provide
a clean version and
a tracked/redlined version and/or a comprehensive Summary of Changes (SOC) for review.
The SOC may be a separate document stack, or embedded in the new draft.

For all updated documents a summary of changes and track changes version(s) must be provided (see page 27)

Thanks for your comments, Simon, and I'm glad I was able to help. However, I must agree with Phil and the others regarding context. I am not an expert. This was detective work pure and simple - and detective work is easier and faster with decent clues.
Note from asker:
Now we're talking! educated and logical, with references. A real contribution...
It is fair to ask for more context, though I don't do it myself. It is helpful to provide as much as possible, which I do. Wild and unresearched guesses are neither. "Experts" are simply those who don't take them. Thank you.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Instinctively, I'd say this makes the most sense here.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Agree. Obvious in hindsight when you have a clear head. Nice detective work despite the nonsense contributions!"

I think this sentence is not complete or explanatory enough, so I just put a guess.
