What'd you run
- Where you from?
- I grew up on a cattle station.
- What'd you run?
- Hereford.
- Hard country, that. Reckon she copped her share of drought?
The script is taken from Tracks movie, The conversation is between the main character and old fella she met in her journey. I didn't get the question and the answer is not really clear because I didn't find a town has this name in Australia, I just found Hereford cattle.
Thanks in advance,

What kind of cattle did you have?
One of the many definitions of "run" in The Free Dictionary:
(Agriculture) to set (animals) loose on (a field or tract of land) so as to graze freely
In your question, the animals were Hereford cattle.
