I've got a quote from a medical report where someone is injured in the 'bacin', then in brackets it says "(legen)". I can't find baci in any dictionary. Is it another word for pelvis, like legen? Or is it a misprint for something else?
Thanks!

Albanian term (edited):
bacino
Selected
pelvis, hip bone
In this context, the word "bacino" comes to mind, which is Italian and the meaning is "pelvis", or "hip bone". Maybe the doctor who wrote that studied in Italy. :)

Example sentence:
Bacino rotto, femore spaccato, una frattura composta lì.
Broken pelvis, cracked femur, compound fracture there.
Note from asker:
Faleminderit, Denis and Ledja. I find a lot of Italian words in Albanian medical documents, and it's not helpful when you don't speak much Italian! |

The correct source word would be "baçin/i" which is a loanword from Italian and it does, as mentioned in brackets, refer to "legen/i".
