It might be better phrased as 'timing effects of sound'. If it was wrong to think of a timer for the use in sound recording then it might suggest rhythmic effects of sound.

neutral Thomas Walker : I understand "temporizador del sonido," no problem. But it's not at all clear to me what "sound timer effect" actually means. What is this "effect," & where exactly does it come in? Perhaps Asker could provide a lot more context to help clarify this.
