Japanese term

こっちは これまた…

Non-PRO Japanese to English Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Dear ProZ members,

I have a doubt about the topic sentence. In a cartoon, some soldiers are meeting for the first time some colleagues from other bases, finding them pretty awkward and half-baked.

On the contrary, at a certain point a very serious person appears, and one of the soldiers says:
こっちは これまた…

I don't understand if it means:
1) "Here's another strange one..."
2) "This one is totally different (the opposite)"...

Any hints? Thank you very much!
