[1]A very good friend of mine, an Indian, working in the US, had visited me the other day.
It was a pleasant surprise.
We walked down the memory lane, reminiscing about days when we spent a lot of time hanging out together.

This friend of mine is from the Southern part of India.
Every autumn when she was home, she would carry back some homemade food with her.
It would look deliciously rich, but I could never really savour it.
There was a distinct smell that I just could not take!

She told me that back at her place, they would cook all their food using coconut oil.

I was astounded.
But the buck didn’t stop there.
I learned that not only was she comfortable cooking with coconut oil, but also used it on her hair, face and body!

This was particularly intriguing!
