French term
apres échanges
French to English
Bus/Financial
Finance (general)
I've got to proofread the Hungarian translation of a bank's annual report, available in both French and English. My problem is that, in a simplified balance sheet, this term became "after swaps" in English:
French (presumably the original language):
"Ressources collectées (apres échanges)
- en monnaies communautaires
- en monnaies non communautaires"
English:
"Resources raised (after swaps)
- community currencies
- non-community currencies"
There is no more context, the whole of the table is only about 8 lines. Now, my problem is that theoretically, it is thinkable that the bank is referring here to some important volumes of hedge operations (swaps - but why only swaps, then?), so I am inclined to think that it is more about translating the different currencies into euro.
Could you please confirm that?

Comment: "Thanks a lot to all of you, this is pretty straightforward now - it would not have made much sense the other way around, would it?"

French term (edited):
apres changes
after exchange
I believe it is about 'exchange' (conversion) and not about 'swaps' (bourses operations).
