If you're translating a marriage certificate where it calls for "El contrayente" and "La contrayente". If it's some other document calling for the "contrayentes del matrimonio", then I would say "parties to the marriage".

: This seems to be the only way to specify the gender of each person involved, when they are explicitly and separately listed in a marriage certificate in Spanish.
