English term

just need to be consistent

Non-PRO English Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Context as below.
it can be Tue, Wed or Thur but need to be consistent for all weeks? can't be Tue this week and Wed next week or so...?

Peter,

Please obtain proposals from Hyatt and Caravelle for Seminar Breakfasts.

Looking for contract price for 6 breakfasts, for next six months. One per month.

They can propose which day suits... Tue or Wed or Thursday... 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th week... just need to be consistent.

100 people. Half ballroom. 8am to 930am.

I like Hyatt best.

Thanks Andres Names were changed

Good point, Andres.
Andres Diaz May 24, 2016:
I agree with Jane... but be careful publishing names of people and businesses! We will all pretend those are aliases and randomly generated business names. :)
Phong Le (asker) May 24, 2016:
thanks Jane,

just to make sure that I understand it right. :)
JaneTranslates May 24, 2016:
@Phong Le Oh, sorry, Phong Le. I wasn't sure that you understood it was monthly, since you asked: "can't be Tue this week and Wed next week or so...?" But yes, "consistent" indicates that it will always be the same day of the week and, in this case, the same week of the month. So I think you were already understanding the text correctly.
Phong Le (asker) May 24, 2016:
Thanks Jane, yes, it is monthly seminar :)

cannot change the day of the week once it's set

It's only one breakfast per month. They can propose, for instance:

The first Tuesday of every month (for 6 months).
The third Tuesday of every month
The second Wednesday of every month, etc.

It doesn't matter to Mamo which day, or which week, but once they have chosen, for instance, the last Thursday of every month, that can't be changed from month to month. It has to be the last Thursday of every one of the 6 months.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Charles. My current translation project is a mass of inconsistent styles from multiple authors, so when I saw "consistent" I knew I had to answer this one! Like most translators, I'm a little obsessive about consistency.
