This is usually a cylindrical (or square, or hexagonal) shaped fixture with a female thread.

As John has indicated these Zapfen obviously locate (fassen) with holes in the housing.
I have used the word \"boss\" here as threaded stud is usually \"Stehbolz\" in German and is a different thing.
\"SchraubENzapfen indicates that the boss has also an internal thread, but this may be wrong in the text as John seems to think.
If it has no internal thread then it\'s still a \"threaded boss\" or \"locating boss\" which can also have hexagonal or square sides to aid screwing them into the parent part.
