Swedish term

Övertrasseringsrätt

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Annual report
We are currently working on an annual report in which "Övertrasseringsrätt" is an item under the heading of bank overdraft facilities.

It follows the item "Beviljat belopp på checkräkningskredit".

This leads us to question what "Övertrasseringsrätt" could be? Is this an unauthorised overdraft facility, while the first is authorised?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Chris!

Take away the punctuation at the end: https://lagen.nu/dom/nja/1997s813

Another link? Do you have another link for that reference Deane? I can't open that page.
Deane Goltermann Jul 7, 2015:
Courtesy overdraft? Found this (https://lagen.nu/dom/nja/1997s813), which tells me your term refers to an overdraft that is not pre-authorised. Which is like this term, but I can't get it in a business/AR context. But it is certainly different than a 'checkräkningskredit'.

More later, if I get the time.
Christopher Schröder Jul 7, 2015:
I see where you're coming from but how can a rätt be unauthorised?

overdaft facility

I have previously always translated this as simply "overdraft facility" http://umx.se/files/words.htm
