*réalisation des PLC et HMI*

French to English Tech/Engineering Nuclear Eng/Sci l’électronique et de l’automation industrielle

Would this be: "installing PLCs and HMI interfaces"?

Discussion

Johannes Gleim Jan 17, 2016:
@ zac You can attribute points only to peers, who proposed their suggestion by answering, but not to peers participating in the discussion only. Attributing points is effected by selecting an answer while closing the question. If the question is not closed by the asker within in approximately one fortnight, the Kudoz robot checks, whether an answer has received 2 or more agrees more than any other answer, selects this answer and closes the question. No answer for this question has got any agree, unfortunately. That's why they question was still open.

If a question is closed by the robot or the asker inadvertently, but the asker likes to attribute the points, he has the possibility to ask the moderator to reopen the question again. Then he can make his choice.
Zonia Clissold (asker) Jan 17, 2016:
Thanks to everyone for their remarks. I opted for "developing" so thanks in particular to Tony M. but since I cannot award him the points, they go to Nikki for website link
Johannes Gleim Jun 16, 2015:
HMI = Human-Machine-Interface
chris collister Jun 15, 2015:
99% certain that PLC has the usual meaning. "Implement" is suitably vague for "réaliser".
Terry Richards Jun 15, 2015:
I wonder... I have a suspicion that PLC isn't what it seems. He uses "automates" in the previous clause, why would he use PLC here?

It could be that this PLC is Process Loop Control.

MMI is usually translated as MMI (Man/machine interface) or, more often these days, HMI (Human/Machine Interface) or, bypassing the whole issue, UI (User Interface).
Tony M Jun 15, 2015:
Surely... HMI = politically-correct form of MMI = man/machine interface — of which I believe there is a standard translation in FR.

And I would doubt that 'réalisation' meant 'installing' — more likely implies some kind of 'producing' — building, constructing, developing, etc.

There are a few options for PLC, which you may need to investigate a bit further! There's no certainty that 'interface' would apply to BOTH HMI AND PLC.

Works in some contexts.

Please note if you need help with the other 2 terms, you should post those in separate questions, as per rule 2.3.

The official CERN website is in FR/EN. It might come in helpful generally for this CV.

PLC and HMI are probably EN terms, as is often the case : http://www.unitronics.com/plc-hmi/the-all-in-one-control-sol...

Reduced programming- a single
programming environment for both PLC

No panel-PLC wiring
Panel-PLC communication is built-in
Note from asker:
Thank you for your remarks and the CERN link. I was going to give you the points but I can't see how to do it.
