This little abbreviation is on a printed hospital nursing form that summarizes different aspects of a patient's condition and needs. Under the category "Alimentazione e idratazione" there are number of items the nurse can check regarding the patient's feeding needs:

[SNG = sondino nasogastrico, PEG = percutaneous enteral gastrostomy, I think]

| Regarding the meaning of "giornata" in this context ... my best guess is that here it refers to feeding the patients in the daytime. I've found some online references to daytime use of the NG tube feeding. |
