French term

le commun entre nos consultants

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) business
C’est l’éthique inébranlable le commun entre nos consultants. Alors que ce sont les idées individuelles de notre équipe qui font de chacun d'eux unique, c'est leur passion commune et le dévouement qui nous unit dans son ensemble.

Feb 25, 2014 14:07: philgoddard changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): AllegroTrans, mchd, philgoddard

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

The common denominator amongst our consultants

The common denominator amongst our consultants are their unswerving ethics; while it is individual ideas which makes each of them unique, it's their joint passion and devotion which unites all of us as a team;

...that our consultants share / ... that unites our consultants

"...that our consultants share"

"...that unites our consultants"

Additionally, you could look at the structure of the first French sentence here. "c'est le ..." is a very French style of phrasing a sentence and I would change that, which gives the opportunity to rephrase the entire sentence. Therefore it could read something like:

"Our consultants share steadfast ethical standards"

or

"There are a set of steadfast ethical standards that unite our consultants."

Thank you.
neutral Andrew Bramhall : Or 'the one thing that our consultants share is unswerving devotion to ethical standards..'

But you don't agree with it?
agree Victoria Britten : "C'est le..." is indeed a very French way of saying something, however "qui font chacun d'eux unique" sounds like a G***le translate - could even be from English.

I turned it round-it is the one thing they absolutely agree on and will not budge from this position
