LA Awkward Squad

English to Portuguese Other Other
I'm heading to the green hills of the San Fernando Valley, home to LA's comfortable middle class. I am meeting with Ron Kaye, former editor of the LA Daily News, a passionate and outspoken member of the LA Awkward Squad.

"awkward squad" refers to any grouping of individuals, normally within an existing organisation or structure, who are incompetent or wittingly or otherwise associate together to resist or obstruct change and are possibly stubborn in doing so.

Vidomar (X) Sep 13, 2013:

These are three of the expressions I know. The last one is obscene.

neutral airmailrpl : "The last one is obscene" - quite.. actually I was agreeing with you - and you apparently took it some other way

Oh, I really took it as sarcasm. I'm deeply sorry. Please, forgive me.
