comme in this context

Isn't there some punctuation mussing here? Things get fuzzy after "photographie."

Here's what I have:
Michel Campeau's images are thus archeological and both historical and psychoanalytical. They are a return to photography's historical origins. [period here? Then, I don't know what to make of "comme à ses origines, psychologiques,"]
they express complete archaism, technological archaism ....

I wonder if I'm parsing it right......

as well as (here) or just "and"

both to its xxx origins and to its yyy origins
Peer comment(s):

agree Laurette Tassin : and there is no period

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : Although you could turn the phrase round to avoid repetition of origins : to its X, Y and Z origins, although that would lose the emphasis.

yes. there is a period. "Comme" marks the beginning of a new sentence.

There should be a period because the author cannot be repeating "comme". But again, I would have loved to see the sentence right to the end.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Nikki Scott-Despaigne : It is one sentence, complete as it is.
