Liman

Limane (abgeleitet von türk. liman: Hafen) sind typisch ausgeprägte Mündungsgebiete von Flüssen. Sie entstanden durch einen nacheiszeitlichen Anstieg des Meeresspiegels und führten zur Überflutung von Tälern. Durch die Entwicklung von Nehrungen wurden Limane auch in weiten Teilen vom Meer abgeschnitten:
