What is the best way, or the most common way, to say "Spiders spin webs" in Russian? The internet indicates that there are at least two ways to say it:
Пауки прядут сети and пауки сплели паутину, but which would be better?

: я бы тоже так сказал, как-то легче произносится... к тому же, контекста всё-таки важен. В сети можно попасться, ну а из паутины выпутаться сложно только если ты насекомое...

: Нет-нет. "ткет/соткал" - это в сторону высокохудожественного штиля. Если вести речь о наиболее распространенном, то точно не "ткет/соткал", а "плетет/сплел". //Так ведь аскер и искал не просто вариант перевода, а "MOST common way to say it"! =)
