Hi
Courtesy of Mr Ahmad Kabiri:
"Actually the term is coined under "blending" process, so the letter آ is omitted."
This is of very great interest to me - I'd love to find out more about this "blending" process, so I need to start by learning the Persian term. I wonder which body in Iran coins terms such as this.
Best
Simon

Dear Simon:
This term is used in Linguistics and is one of the word-formation processes. A classic example of blending in English is Brunch. I have no idea about your Persian Language background; however, if you are interested in word-formation processes in the Persian Language you may take a look at the books given below:
1) An Introduction to Morphology, by دكتر ويدا شقاقي:
http://www.samt.ac.ir/asp09/bookdetail.asp?IdBook=1102
2) the Persian chapters of English Morphology Plus Word-Formation Processes in English & Persian, by دكتر غلامرضا تجويدي: http://www.samt.ac.ir/asp09/bookdetail.asp?IdBook=952
The Academy of the Persian Language & Literature is the official body to preside over the correct usage of the language.
Incidentally, you may find the links below useful:

The Persian Academy is the main organization in which expert linguists coin such words for foreign terms.
For example, یارانه for subside or پیامک for text message or sms are coined by this organization.
