German term

durchverbinden (hier: 1:1) (PINs)

My attempt so far: "Per FlexRay channel there are two 5-pin Lemo sockets, whose PINs are connected through 1:1(?). This offers a variety of connection possibilities, from simple straight line to total loop-in."

Discussion

meirs Aug 5, 2011:
socket pins connected in parallel with same pinout so the logger can be connected in daisy chain fashion or inserted in a bus

connected straight-through

straight through (meaning the pins are connected: pin 2 to pin 2, pin 3 to pin 3, and so on)pins on one end correspond exactly to the corresponding pins on the other end

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, shilpa_oka. My post of course calls for the infinitive form, and since you didn't include any references, I awarded only 2 points."

through-connect

It means pin i of one connector is wired to pin i of the other (for i = 1 - 5). "Durchverbindung" = "through-connection" in the Siemens De-En dico of elec. eng., power eng., and automation.
Note from asker:
Thanks, Oliver. "1:1" may actually be superfluous, but it emphasizes the fact. So I preferred shilpa_oka's inclusion of "straight".
