display furniture & fittings
Hi. I've got a pitch book for a set of shop display fittings and furniture for a clothes brand. At the beginning of the presentation there is one slide which just has the words:
"MOBILIER HISTOIRE DE FIL
Réseau multimarques"
The rest of the presentation demonstrates in detail how the fittings can be used to best display the products, and how they can be rearranged to suit different kinds of shops. (e.g. racks, shelves, gondolas, hooks etc.)

It's all about 'threads'
'Histoire de fil' might be a clever way of saying that this is all about clothing (fil meaning thread and threads meaning clothes)
one meaning of threads:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/threads
So the 'mobilier' part is the furniture and fittings that need to be set up to display all these threads.
5. threads (Slang) Clothes.

Display furniture - the next phase
Hello,
If you think about it, "histoire de fil" could be mean what comes next in chain of events. This clothes line is out now and needs their own brand of display furniture in shops.

It's what would come next "in a chain of events", I suppose.

what would be assumed to come next?

Display furniture - the next phase (for this clothing line)

Other possibilities:
Would this mean that it's really about manipulating wires for finding the best way to display these clothes, etc. Wire manipulation of furniture for best display?
Tony is right about there being a brand called "Histoire-de-Fil, but it would usually have dashes. Are there dashes in the original?
Also, it could be a new boutique concept called "histoire de fil."

hanging on the wire/line
Like Tony, I think the "fil" is more likely to refer to the display stands than to threads.
I think I'd ask the client though, as this is very ambiguous.

It's about women who sew. I'm pretty sure they are making a play on words on the name of that TV show.
