To what field are they referring?

Discussion

margaret caulfield Mar 29, 2010:
Terri, I'm not too sure of your question. Do you want the translation for "contract" (which, of course, is "contract" in English) or what? I find it strange for you to ask to which field they are referring when you have the content of the newsbrief and not us!

institutional and corporate projects

This seems to be a fairly common term in design circles, and covers projects for hotels, corporations and other spaces to be occupied by the genral public.

Madrid trade fair venue official site

As you may well have seen, the Madrid trade fair (IFEMA) venue's official site says that Contract is "Contract" in their (officially? translated) announcement of a trade fair called the International Contract and Architecture Congress, due to be held in May this year. However I can’t help but feel that what this really means is open to interpretation
Example sentence:

Offering the very latest in design and cutting-edge developments under the heading of integral equipment and furnishings for the home and for the contract sector, Casa Pasarela will take place in May, coinciding with the staging of the second edition of I
