More philsophy from hell.

I am afraid my bullfighting knowledge is not up to snuff for this reference:

"Darle a toro pasado a los vencidos la razón, y “hacerles justicia” al menos en la conmemoración de las cenizas, sería para Hegel algo así como repetir de manera ridícula la locura de los que iban contra el movimiento histórico."

The rough draft:
Allowing the vanquished to be right and “doing justice to them”, at least in the commemoration of their ashes, would be for Hegel something akin to absurdly repeating the madness of those who went against the historic movement

agree with the defeated when there’s nothing to lose

"A toro pasado" is a way to say that someone is pretending to act over some topic that has already been solved previously. I’d go with “ agree with the defeated when there’s nothing to lose, just to bring them some justice at least in the...“. May be my translation doesn't work for you, but this link might be useful anyway, take a look at it: http://culturitalia.uibk.ac.at/hispanoteca/Vokabular/Toros/f...

Admitting the defeated were right when the damage is already done

Vaya "peazo" de texto que te has pillado! :)
Yo traduciría "a toro pasado" de una manera un poco más informal, y lo pondría de la siguiente forma:

"Admitting the defeated were right when the damage is already done, and "doing them justice" at least by commemorating the ashed, would be for Hegel... "

To stick as closely as possible to the original text, one could say "Saying in hindsight (or in retrospect) that the vanquished were right..."
