I think they're all off sacking Troy, Matt. Shouldn't take too long?
MatthewLaSon Mar 8, 2010:
Hi Is the "visualisation primaire" the initial reading of the meter for connection purposes? It is indeed like direct energy connection: the meter is instantly read and you have connection (if permitted).

Too bad no experts came along...
Jack Dunwell (asker) Mar 8, 2010:
Here itis. Direct Energy Connection? Cela signifie que le réseau interne utilisateur de l'usine est connecté directement au poste de livraison externe du fournisseur d'énergie électricité, eau ou gaz après le compteur de consommation.
Jack Dunwell (asker) Mar 7, 2010:
Right I'll get on to the client tomorrow...thank you very much indeed for contributions, I'll come back with a response.
MatthewLaSon Mar 6, 2010:
Yes What Tony has said is interesting.

Very interesting question, too!
Tony M Mar 6, 2010:
'primaire' Don't forget that 'primaire' could also be referring to the primary of a transformer; hence why the wider context is vital here.
MatthewLaSon Mar 6, 2010:
Hello It is not a kind of initial inspection from a certain camera, or something like that, which scopes out the area so that everything can be cleared for connection/hook-up?

I hope you get an answer from someone who knows what he's talking about.

Good luck!
Jack Dunwell (asker) Mar 5, 2010:
I thought Wordfast would give the French....but at least the context is there....

waste water system
- EDF electrical system
- branchement sur visualisation primaire

Raw materials are mainly poplar logs from the Marne Department, from the north and east of France and the south of Belgium some 250 to 300 km away

RightI thought that it would be straight forward But I accept that it isn't. The problem perhaps rests in ConsultantLingo, which, when you think about it, can have rather similar tendency to translation...hiding behind a camouflaging cloud ...rather than what Us Good Fellows do...try to be succinct. MacArthur. Then.Or "I shall Return"
Tony M Mar 5, 2010:
Context? I think you may have to give us a lot more of your wider overall context in order to unravel this one, J.

connection or hook-up on/upon first sight inspection (if factory seems to have met requirements)

Hello,

It seems as though the insurance company needs to inspect the factory first in order to hook-up them up to whatever service they're requesting. They'll do so if everything is ok on first sight inspection. They're probably be other inspections to follow, at which time service can be disconnected if factory fails to meet requirements.

I hope this helps.

Maybe a sort of surveillance camera does the inspection. And if everything clears, they get hooked up?

Could it be a sort of surveillance camera that inspects a premise at distance to see if everything clears for hook-up?
Note from asker:
I sort of thought this was more of a visual thing. That there would be some torrent of response surrounding CCT cameras/some sort of information system that was visual. The problem, is M, that there's not'a'lot'a'info.

agree Chris Hall : "connection upon first inspection" is my verdict.

Thank you, Chris! I'm still far from sure. Have a great weekend!
