Postprocessing program

This is the term used by SAP in their online help. The postprocessing program is executed after the main processing step (the data migration), but before validation. See references, in particular the sections "Einstellungen zum Nachlaufprogramm" and "Settings for Postprocessing Program".

Spelling should be "postprocessing program" if the term should be added to the glossary. During the main processing step, some temporary files are created. These files can be deleted afterwards (during postprocessing). If the SAP system is configured accordingly, this can also be done after validation (which is actually the better method becauce it makes sure you don't lose any data).
Peer comment(s):

agree jccantrell : This is how I would say this in the USA. And, even though the German has the "..programm" I might leave it off and just say postprocessing.

Thank you. In German, I would probably say "Nachverarbeitung". But that's SAP ...

archive development kit

Hello,

I just had a look at the SAP website glossary. The translation of Nachlaufprogramm SAP uses is archive development kit. I suggest you look at their glossary in case you got furhter queries. I quoted the link below.

Peer comment(s):

disagree SusanneM : Your link doesn't work. It should be http://help.sap.com/saphelp_glossary/de/index.htm. In addition, Archive Development Kit is not the translation of "Nachlaufprogramm", it is the context in which the term is relevant.

re-run/post-run program

my assumption is that the programm is re-run after enhancement (Anreicherung) of the data base
Peer comment(s):

disagree Kim Metzger : Why make assumptions? Either research it or leave it alone. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sem40bw/helpdata/en/2a/fa0454493...
