Actually, I have to say that there's a not-too-slight difference between 'hemorrage' and 'blood flooding'. They are not the same thing and, since the text specifies 'inondazione', not 'hemorrage', I guess that 'blood flooding' will represent a most faithful and correct translation.

: assolutamente. non parla di piccole quantita di sangue/strie ematiche/stillicidio etc. ma di inondazione. se un ventricolo allagato di sangue non lo possiamo descrivere come caso di emorragia intraventricolare, beh torniamo all' universita allora..

: Qui è scritto che c'è sangue nel quarto ventricolo; non che ci sia un "intraventricular haemorrhage". Il sangue arriva da altrove forse ? oppure hai altre info per porre tale diagnosi ?

Ventricular system hemorrhage alone produces little more than chemical meningitis. Downward brain herniation can occur when rapid flooding of blood into the ventricles causes a pressure gradient between the anterior and posterior fossae. Large cerebral infarcts can present with obtundation that sometimes results in brain herniation. Cerebral vascular congestion and edema reach a maximum within 4 days following the infarct. At this point, patients are at-risk for transtentorial herniation.

In medicina, invasione di una cavità naturale, o di una struttura, da parte di liquidi organici (in particolare, sangue). Tale condizione patologica si verifica spesso nei casi di emorragia cerebrale con inondazione ematica dei ventricoli; nei casi di traumi addominali per rottura della milza, del fegato o di qualche arteria importante (emoperitoneo); negli ascessi polmonari con invasione dei bronchi da parte di pus ecc
In altre parole, un inondazione ematica nelle quarto ventricolo cerebrale, non significa che ci sia emorragia DEL ventricolo poichè presumibilmente il sangue può arrivare d'altrove.
