energy produced equals energy consumed

Is how I would see it, although without context it is hard to know what's going on. For example, if any heat is produced by whatever is going in within the pod it is equal to the amount of heat needed - so the pod neither needs to get rid of any waste heat or to have extra heat added to it.

There's a lot of talk these days about energy-neutral houses, which are designed on that principle.

The development of “the energy neutral house” includes an energy neutral version of EnergyFlexFamily, where the building itself produces all the heat and electricity the family uses, including electricity for the family’s electric car.

energy has no good or bad effect

I think enerugy neutral environment means that since the pod is sealed, the energy stored inside the pod has no good or bad effect, meaning harmless and neutral.

disagree Cilian O'Tuama : positive and negative maybe... but not good versus bad. But keep guessing, it's refreshing.
