Discussion

Rosa Cabral (asker) Sep 15, 2009:
materials used during a survey THere is a list including microscope, magnification etc. The first part has this. I thought it might be some sort of protrective body covering when doing micro stuff.
Giuseppe Bellone Sep 15, 2009:
The strange thing is "diametro" ... can you post a sentence, or at least the real context, if it refers to lab, walls, or anything else that might give a hint?<br>"Apron" could be OK , but I con't see "diameter" when it refers to a "cloth apron"! Cloth doesn't have a diameter!!<br>It must refer to some kind of coating or similar things perhaps, hence not made of cloth at all, in my opinion.

Proposed translations

1 hr

apron

The word grembiale is also spelled as "grembiule", meaning apron. Without much context, this is the best translation I can offer.

Folded, or concertina covers

The link provided below gives "grembiale" as the cover placed over machinery parts for protective purposes. If you go into the link, which opens in english, there is "translation" option on the upper left hand part. This will provide a more in-depth description.

microscope cap/gown/cover

Just a guess. Try it.

These might have a diameter, at least it's possible.
