English term

as far as get is concerned

English to French Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
As far as GET is concerned, xx has more and, in particular, the correct functionality and possibilities.
The direct integration enabled by the system provides far-reaching automation, saving us a great deal of time and money.

Alors, "get" ou "GET"? Vous indiquez les deux.
Tony M Sep 9, 2009:
CAPS? Could you please confirm whether or not it is actually written like that, in all caps, in your source text?

And could you also please tell us soemthing about the context in which this occurs.

If it is indeed in all caps, then there is every likelihood it does indeed refer to some kind of programming command, like GET, FETCH, PEEK, POKE, and so on.
EliseG (asker) Sep 9, 2009:
seraching on the Internet it seems this is an ideiom in English... and GET as an acronym, name of company or something like that would have no sense in the text...
Sheila Wilson Sep 8, 2009:
get to mean receive? The last phrase makes me think that this is just saying you get (receive) good value when you consider the time and money savings. I think it's capitalised to emphasise that it's the response to the age-old question that potential customers ask: "what do I (actually) get for my money?" "What you GET is ..."
Tony M Sep 8, 2009:
Context? I think you'll need to give us at least a little bit of context to work from; for a start, what field is this in? I don't think it really counts as any kind of 'idiom, maxim or saying', but it will be important to know if this is in IT, for example, or what?
Also, are you assuming that GET is some kind of acronym, or from the wider context, do you think it is simply the verb 'get', perhaps used in u/c to distinguish it as some kind of command?
