: Yes, if it is "rimma" in this case, it could be salted duck, but depends if it is a dish on its own, or added to a salad.

I don\'t know for sure, but splintered duck sounds more like the duck equivalent of spatchcock - COD n. a chicken or esp. game bird split open and grilled. From my vague memory this is sometimes done with skewers in a sort of cross.

Splintered vs. Salted/Salt duck
To build on this a bit further!
There is "splintered duck" mentioned in two google sites as an apetizer, but it just means that the meat is cut into slivers (eg shavings of duck meat). If your duck is served in a salad, this would be your choice.
However, though this version of salting is a new word for me, I assume this is probably the case. In Sweden there are a lot of salted foods such as herring and licorice. Salted Duck is not salty however (rather more fresh in taste). I would guess this translation was chosen to avoid the connotations that the word "salt" would have here. Eg. things are often referred to as "salt or sweet?"

Ur en referens om olika användningar av sprängar finns följande föklaring av dess användning i matlagning , dvs gnida in ankan med salt, socker eller salpeter. Den behöver altså inte smaka salt utan en salt socker blandning kan ge den fräscha smak någon nämnde.
