depends on your audience, it could be a 'fun wine'
'vin de plaisir' usually evokes a 'ready-to-drink' wine as opposed to a 'grand vin'. It's often used for 'vin de pays'.
You could use 'easy-drinking' wine, but again depends on what wine it actually is and the market being aimed at...

: I would leave it in French with an explanation in French. This site uses 'everyday drinking wines' http://www.lescaves.co.uk/wine/region/morocco_lebanon

Comment: "thanks for the suggestions. It seems that cmwilliams was right too so I think I'll choose ready-to-drink or everyday drinking wine. "

Plonk
Plonk, as a disparaging term for cheap wine, especially cheap red wine, is now widely known in the UK and also to a lesser extent in the USA. It’s so fixed a part of British English that many people are surprised to hear that it’s originally Australian.

: I wouldn't use this as it has a negative connotation. "Vin de plaisir" is not a slang term - just means everyday drinking wine and am fairly certain it does not carry such a negative image as 'plonk'.
