French term

contrat de couverture

French to English Law/Patents Real Estate Mortgage loan agreement
No context I'm afraid. I thought it might be hedging contract but I don't know what this is so I'm not sure. Any suggestions? Thanks

It could be...althought the lack of context makes it hard to say. I don't think it is anything to do with "hedging" in this particular context though.

Hi Rebecca, I have just come across Banque de Couverture for which I have found the translation Reimbursement Bank. So could contrat de couverture possibly be reimbursement contract?
Susan Gastaldi (asker) Mar 26, 2009:
Not really, Rebecca, because it's just a long list of terms. I have "...contrat, contract de couverture, contrat de crédit vendeur, contrat de gestion d'actifs, contrat de gestion immobilier,...etc. etc.". All of these terms are apparently used in a mortgage loan agreement that has to be translated into English but I don't have the agreement so don't have any other context.

Can you see anything in the context which might suggest this is insurance-related?

neutral joehlindsay : contrat de couverture means hedging contract, but I agree with Rebecca Davis, probably not in a mortgage document
