Sorry, having just re-read the question I think I've got this wrong - I think it means the sales figures are 2% less at comparable/same floor area. I think Christina's "same store sales" is correct, but I prefer more 'natural' English. (I'm a keen supporter of the 'natural English' campaign in legal & regulatory language :-))

Addition. If the product is something that is usually presented on shelves, suh as shirts, then it might be better to use shelf-space.
