ante-refectory

who are we to judge the level of education? or anything else..

refectory ante-room [or lobby, vestibule, etc.]

any type of "ante" room is "the room you go through before entering the main room"

it makes me laugh.... an "antirefettorio" in this context would be a man who is ideologically opposed to the entire concept of refectories. An honest and accurate translation would be hilarious.
