German term

Registermaterial

German to English Art/Literary Printing & Publishing
This is from publicity material for a book about Kafka and Prague. It has previously been translated as "a comprehensive register and cartographic material" but I think "register" may be a false friend here. Does anybody know better?

"Umfangreiches Register- und Kartenmaterial ergänzen das reich bebilderte Buch."

index

In the case of publicity material describing a book, if you simply change "register" to "index" in the translation already suggested, I think you have the answer.
Example sentence:

A comprehensive index and cartographic material ...
