Well, truth be told soccer/football/футбол bores me to tears but the same thing is said of American football players (or even basketball players), usually along the lines "He's a threat any time he gets his hands [sic] on the ball"

Gary's option is very good, but in fact приём мяча supposes how good the player is in stopping the moving ball after his partner's pass then keeping the ball and footing it.
