Rachel Douglas Jun 13, 2008:
On "take to heart": I sd that wd mean "take very seriously", + Olga stressed that "заболеть чем" means "consider seriously what captures yr imagination". But that Eng sounds off to me; one "takes to heart" usu a remonstrance or advice on self-improvement.

Talyb, do you think you could provide more context?:)

get excited about your idea

agree Olga Cartlidge : get really excited about // Well noted, Rachel, I agree with your subsequent comment as well.

Good point, thank you. But perhaps this is the idea the author wants to get across (not 100% sure, though)
agree Olga Cartlidge : That s exactly what it means in Russian - considering seriously what captures your imagination.

Thank you Olga!
neutral George Freeman : this isn't exactly the meaning

get crazy about your idea

.
Peer comment(s):

agree Rachel Douglas : This is good, but say "isn't crazy about", or "doesn't go crazy over", rather than "doesn't get crazy about".
