Die Marke steht hier als Signal und gelernte Bestätigung für Leistungsqualität, welches das beim Nachfrager empfundene Risiko bzw. Kaufunsicherheiten mindert oder ganz verhindert. Besonders bei Produkten deren Qualitäten sich im Voraus nicht oder nur bedingt überprüfen lassen oder persönlich sehr relevant sind und damit eine hohe Vertrauenseigenschaft besitzen, ist dieser „Nutzen“ nahezu unbezahlbar. Durch glaubwürdige Empfehlungen (z.B. von Geschäftspartnern, Freunden etc.) und durch eigene positive Erfahrungen mit der Marke wird solch ein Vertrauensdepot aufgebaut.

: it's usually referred to as "credence quality/attributes" it's one of 3 major qualities (the others are search- and experience-quality ) and it only leads to trust/consumer confidence when the information is from a credible source.
