From a German life insurance medical examination form that a doctor has to complete on examining the insurance applicant.

What is the meaning of "Stärke" in connection with varicose veins?

The terms 'dilation' and 'elongation' go hand-in-hand, when describing the condition of varicose veins.
Example sentence:

I think, "Stärke" is "Ausmaß" here rather than diameter
(if you still wand the latter, I'd suggest "caliber").
