Discussion

Nesrin Apr 3, 2008:
The "auf Freitag" bit is an integral part of the sentence. The expression is "Ich freue mich auf..." (looking forward to...).
Non-ProZ.com (asker) Apr 3, 2008:
yes someone is meeting a girl and it is a part of a sntence, I read it in a novel:

Du glaubst gar nicht wie Du mir fehlstst. Freue mich auf Freitag um richtig zuzupacken
Trudy Peters Apr 3, 2008:
Can you provide any kind of context?

Two options

As an ENS, I have to say there are two options, and I've been an ENS for so long I can't remember why they should both be more correct, but they are:

"I'm (really) looking forward to Friday to really get down to it"
and
"I'm (really) looking forward to get*TING* down to it on Friday".

What he wants to get down to is apparently left to the imagination...
Peer comment(s):

agree Trudy Peters : I like the second option. Or "look forward" to avoid the two "ings".
