French term

en termes de biais de mesure

French to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. phrasing/general interpretation
Il est remarquable qu'on n'aborde en général cette question de la congruence entre méthodes et populations qu'*******en termes de biais de mesure*******, d'inadéquation, de difficulté, voire d'impossibilité, c'est-à-dire en termes justement d'incongruence.

---

Once again, I'm looking for a good way to express this that both makes sense and reads well. I'm not sure how to interpret "biais de mesure, etc.." in this context: ...this question of congruency... only tackled in relation to ???? I'm not convinced that tackling a subject "in terms of a bias/skew..." sounds right.

I suspect this isn't strictly a "social psychology" question, ie, I probably don't need a special term here - but could be wrong of course!

Anyway, I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Many thanks!

I see what you mean about the rest of the sentence.
Perhaps you could turn it round to get is only examined from the perspective of misfit, difficulty and measurement bias"
Note from asker:
thanks, suezen. That seemed too obvious, but your explanation makes it sound a lot better! I still have to incorporate the other elements (inadequacy, etc.) but that isn't the main ptoblem.
thanks again! Misfit is an excellent idea.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "thanks once again! In fact, I think my mistake was in assuming that "inadéquation", etc came under "biais". My final solution (is generally only examined from the perspective of measurement bias, mismatch, difficulty, or even impossibility) was totally inspired by your suggestions"
