I know that 'cruz' is 'withers' for a horse, but I don't think we use the same term for other animals. Any ideas?

Comment: "Thanks to all for their comments. 'Shoulder height' seems to be the standard term for wolves, elsewhere the author of my document also uses 'cruz' referring to other wild animals, so the broader term in this case seems to be more appropriate, rather than 'withers' which seems to be specific to horses and dogs."
